MilanoZine is a free interactive digital service, where users may find information and services related to Milan and in particular to the areas of university education and employment in this Italian city. MilanoZine provides users with access to a rich collection of resources, including various communication tools, groups, comments and articles. With its web resources, MilanoZine makes it easy to get essential information on city life and entertainment.


The services provided by MilanoZine are free of charge and freely revocable. MilanoZine assumes no responsibility for any misuse of the contents of the website and reserves the right to update, restrict or delete them temporarily or indefinitely at any time.


Users agree to: provide true, accurate, current and complete information about themselves as requested by the Service’s registration form; promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If users provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if MilanoZine has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete MilanoZine reserves the right to suspend or terminate their account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service.


MilanoZine is concerned about the security and privacy of all its users.

MilanoZine processes all personal data provided by users according to the objectives and methods herein included and connected to the functioning of services provided by keeping them in strict confidentiality in compliance with provisions of Article 13 of the Italian Law no. 196/2003 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code. Users’ personal data will be used so as to guarantee security and privacy. In conformity with the aforementioned law, please note that the handling of users personal information by MilanoZine will take place manually or electronically with the sole aim of providing informational material and services related to Milan and in particular to the areas of university education and employment opportunities. Users’ data shall be processed in paper and/or electronic form, with IT and/or telecommunication tools, and, however, by applying only those methods strictly necessary for the objectives herein after specified.

It is not compulsory for users to provide personal information, but this is necessary to access the service; any refusal to do so and/or any lack of given data may make it impossible to gain access to the services provided. The rights referred to in article 7 of Italian Law no. 196/2003 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (see below), can be exercised by sending a specific request to the data controller, Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, via Sarfatti 25 – 20136 Milan.

Pursuant to art. 13 of  the Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, MilanoZine is required to provide you with the following information:

a.Purpose of Data Handling

MilanoZine may forward, with users’ permission, informational material, commercial communications, marketing information, market trend analysis and other material related to products or services provided by MilanoZine or third party advertisers, both in paper and electronic form; forward, on users own request, online quality of service and satisfaction surveys carried out directly or in collaboration with specialized firms, as well as statistical analysis. Personal data are handled only by the people in charge appointed by MilanoZine for purposes strictly connected with the performance of the service provided. In relation to the aforementioned purposes, users data may be stored on paper or in any other form including computerized databases. Because MilanoZine belongs to Università Bocconi, data may be stored in the Universitys computer system for a period of time exclusively for the above mentioned purposes.

b.Voluntary or Mandatory Nature of Personal Data

Providing MilanoZine with users personal data is not necessary. Any refusal to do so and/or any lack of given data may make it impossible for MilanoZine to carry out purposes of providing specific services.

c.Communication of Data

Users data may be communicated by MilanoZine for all purposes mentioned above to any and all subjects (i.e. other Universitys service providers and/or third parties) entitled by law and regulations, and also to entities specifically charged with their treatment for the aforementioned purposes; or by individuals or entities providing (by force of contract) specific processing services or performing associated activities, also in a support role. Any possible communication of data that may occur also during special events or competitions – to which users agreed to participate -, will always take place with users permission and for the purposes and according to the aforementioned modes.

d.Entitled Agent

The entitled agent to treatment of said data is Università Bocconi based in via R. Sarfatti 25, C.A.P. 20136 Milano. The list of agents and third parties encharged with treatment of said data is public and can be exercised by sending a specific request to the data controller, Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, via Sarfatti 25 – 20136 Milan.

e. Facebook Connect

Facebook Connect allows users to take their Facebook identity, network, and privacy settings with them as they browse and interact with the rest of the Web. As a Facebook Connect-enabled site, MilanoZine provides an option to log into Facebook directly from the site itself. This way, when you connect with MilanoZine, it can access information you’ve added through Facebook to allow you to interact with your friends in new and interesting ways. Since all Facebook Connect-enabled sites are contractually obligated to respect the privacy settings you’ve chosen for your Facebook account, the same terms for the applications you use on Facebook must be followed. This means that if you’ve blocked a user on Facebook, that user will not be able to see you on the MilanoZine site. When other users connect with MilanoZine, those users will not be able to see information you’ve added through Facebook that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to see simply by browsing Facebook.


Article 7 of the Personal Data Protection Code empowers users to the exercise of specific rights. Particularly, users may obtain confirmation of the existence c/o MilanoZine of their personal data and of their availability; users may also ask to know the origin of said data, as well as the modes and purposes justifying treatment thereof. They may obtain the deletion, transformation in anonymous form or blocking of data treated in violation of the law; and also the update, correction and, if interested, integration of said data. Finally, users may oppose for any legitimate reason to the treatment of said data, also in connection to commercial advertising and other marketing purposes. With this respect, Article 7 of the Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 states the following:

The interested party has the right to oppose, in whole or in part:b) to the treatment of personal data relating to said party in connection with commercial advertising or direct sale activities or with market research activities or with commercial communications;.

By accepting the terms and conditions set forth herein, users authorize MilanoZine to gather, disclose and transmit their personal data to other parties within the limits specified above, for the purposes and according to the aforementioned methods.


MilanoZine has installed and applied the technical and organizational measures needed to prevent the loss, misuse, alteration and non-authorized access to these data, and other possible risks.


All information, data, text, software, photographs, graphics, video, messages, tags, or other materials (“Content”), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from whom such Content originated. This means that users, and not MilanoZine, are entirely responsible for all Content that they upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available via the Service. MilanoZine does not control the Content posted via the Service and does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. Users shall understand that by using the Service, they may be exposed to Content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. Under no circumstances will MilanoZine be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any Content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted, emailed, transmitted or otherwise made available via the Service.


The Service may provide, or third parties may provide, links to other World Wide Web sites or resources. Because MilanoZine has no control over such sites and resources, users shall acknowledge and agree that MilanoZine is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources and is not responsible or liable for any Content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. Users shall also acknowledge and agree that MilanoZine is not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such Content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.


All contents in MilanoZine texts, source code, graphic design, animations and images, as well as trademarks, commercial names and other denominations are subject to the intellectual and industrial property rights of the creators of MilanoZine and are protected by law.
Under no circumstance, does the access to the services of MilanoZine imply the renounce, transmission, transfer or partial or total license of such contents to third parties, nor does it grant any right of use, translation, modification, adaptation, exploiting, copy, distribution or public communication of them without the previous and explicit authorization by MilanoZine. In no case is the total or partial reproduction of the data and contents to which access is granted in MilanoZine authorized (and it will be prosecuted). Their use against present legislation of industrial and intellectual property is neither authorized.
